This picture is very meaningful to me. Our society is highly critical of men who have feminine qualities. The man in this picture is very courageous, outwardly challenging social norms. I also love his playful spirit and sense of style. This is an acrylic painting I did from a picture I took at a Pride Parade in Atlanta. The alternate title I also think of is Lesbian in a Man’s Body, which I have heard from many gay men.
