This is a picture of a grandmother playing with her grandchild. I've heard it said that you should give a child roots and wings and this picture reminds me of that.  The grandmother is there spending time with her grandchild, giving her a sense of family, self, belonging - the roots.  She is also delightfully playing with bubbles that float and move as in a dream. The princess dress is fantasy and yet, also a reality that we are all princes and princesses. In this moment, this child is being given roots and wings!
